Mia pushes herself to challenge the norms of the advertising industry, leading with a vision of authenticity and storytelling. Impactful creatives do not just follow the zeitgeist, they set it.
Over the years, my client has briefed students to create messages that raise awareness to help prevent the sexual abuse of children. They had the creative solution of turning years of this student work into an exhibit for the Traverse City Bay Children's Advocacy Center.
The client approached me requesting a video highlighting the opening night of the exhibit to let the story live beyond the display. Working with a thoughtful copywriter, we created this film to highlight the student work and perpetuate the impact of this exhibit.
I had the opportunity to work with a production team to bring my commercial idea to life. This included pitching my idea to film professionals and also directing a team of filmmakers on set. Working on this project was a huge learning curve, showcasing the immense amount of work that goes into film productions from start to finish. I learned about the importance of communication as a leader, how to trust a team, and that other's skills and expertise are necessary to make ideas come to life.
Constellation Cat Cafe
The Constellation Cat Cafe (CCC) is a local Lansing non-profit organization. 6 other creatives and I partnered with this organization to provide advertising and communication expertise to give back to the community. Requests from this client included the creation of a new, more mature look for the cafe's brand, as well as helping with strategies to acquire more donations and encourage foot traffic to the cafe.

2thePOINT - Branding Challenge
This project requested the creative direction of an imaginary perfume brand. This included creating product mockups in Adobe Photoshop, a mockup of an app layout using Adobe XD, a sensory-inducing video, as well as concepts for online advertising. I named my brand 2thePOINT, because it uses simple, natural ingredients to curate unique human experiences.
